Grease Interceptor Cleaning
Large tanks need full cleaning
Grease interceptors are larger in-ground tanks, usually outside the building, that serve busy kitchens. Over time a hard crust forms on the walls and baffles, and solids pack into corners. Cleaning removes that buildup so the tank's full volume is available again.
What gets checked
After the tank is emptied, the inlet and outlet tees, baffle walls, sample port, lids and risers are inspected. Cracks, corrosion and missing parts are noted so they can be repaired before they cause a failure or an inspection issue.
Shared and institutional units
Plazas with several food tenants and institutions such as schools and hospitals often share or run one large interceptor. Clear records help property managers and facility teams track condition and plan budgets.
